Ginger or Lemongrass Syrup

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 inch piece of ginger, sliced or 10 stalks lemongrass, cut into two inch pieces

Bring sugar and water to a boil, boil for one minute. Turn heat to lowest setting and add herb material. Simmer for fifteen minutes. Strain, cool, then bottle and refrigerate.

Syrup will keep for up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
