Summer Basil Splash

In a cocktail shaker combine:
- Juice of 2 key limes
- 3 to 4 sprigs of fresh basil ? lemon, lime, Pesto perpetuo or Aussie Sweetie are good choices
- 2 ounces St. Germain elderflower liqueur
- 2 ounces vodka
Use a large wooden spoon or a muddler to smash the basil leaves and extract their flavor. Add several cubes of ice. Cover and shake well.
Strain into martini glasses and top with lime or lemon flavored sparkling water. Garnish with a slice of lime and a fresh sprig of basil.
Makes 2 drinks.
